The same course, off the web.
Home Row Hero is a native app as well as a website. One course, one account, one subscription, and every lesson, test and game runs with no network at all.
macOS 15 and later iPadOS 18 and later iOS 18 and later
It does not need the internet
The whole course ships inside the app. A lesson on a plane is the same lesson as a lesson at a desk, and what you type there counts once you are back on a network.
Every lesson, offline
All 62 lessons, the timed tests, the drills and both games, with no network.
It catches up later
Results queue on the device and sync when there is a connection. Two devices merge rather than overwrite, so nothing you typed is lost by opening the other one.
One account everywhere
The same sign-in as the website, the same profiles, the same progress. Start a lesson on the iPad and the Mac knows where you got to.
The same numbers
Speed, accuracy and stars are scored by the same rules in the app as on the site, so a result never changes meaning when it arrives.
The free unit is free there too
The Home Row unit, all 6 lessons, with no card and no sign-in. The rest of the course opens with the same subscription as the website.
Nothing to learn twice
The app is built from the same course file the website reads. When a lesson changes, it changes in both.
Where it is
The app is built and running on all three devices. It is not on the App Store yet. The newsletter at the foot of this page says so the day it is.
Until then the course runs in any browser, on a laptop, a desktop, or an iPad with a keyboard attached. Nothing you do there has to be redone in the app: it is the same account and the same progress.
